God never intended for us to do anything without His help. We believe in uniting the World under one God. In order to do that, we must go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all creatures. Mark 15:16

1 And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, as he stood by the lake of Gennesaret,

We are to press in upon Him to hear the Word. We are not to let the cares of this world keep us in the background, it is imperative that we press in to receive what God has for us. Jesus had recently fed the 5,000 so there were many people there. How many do you think were at the front pressing in? Do you press in? Are the Words of God so important to you that you are sure to be at the front of the crowd

 

It seemed to me that I was failing God, I didn't get my ministry going in the time I had expected, I had given up for the season, I just thought I would wait, sit back and hope for a better tomorrow. I had already gotten out of the boat, I had washed my nets and I was finished, or so I thought.

 

3 And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.
He asked Simon to separate them from the masses. He knew who He had called and who was to be in His Company, didn't God call you to be set apart, sanctified? Aren't you supposed to be in the boat with Jesus? Didn?t He put it in your heart? Weren' you called out from the multitudes?

 

4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.

As I read that scripture, these Words jumped out from the page:
Launch: go forth, push out (from the group) depart, lead, loose, return (return to the place that you once were in the Kingdom)

Out: from the midst of, out of the way, out of the city, apart from.
Deep: deep is not safe as the shallows are, deep is equated with spiritual things, metaphor of God?s wisdom and knowledge.
Down: reach down, delve
Nets: to capture to enclose to possess, something thrown around, a snare. In Greek: a device by which the Persians are said to have cleared a conquered island of its inhabitants
Draught: a catch, reward

 

5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

Regardless of past failures: now it is I WILL. That is the key: I WILL obey.

 

6 And when they had this done, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

First you must DO, you must follow what the Word says, then the promise is that: you will receive your reward, your net breaking, overflowing reward.

7 And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.

 

Partners, Luke tells us when you are called to help, to follow the Word, you will share in the reward...You are part of the vision you join in and reap the benefits. You need to consider partnering with this ministry, the rewards are coming!
